But it is Fat Free

Today I was approached by a colleague that was offering me some candy which is Fat Free. I told her ‘no thanks’. She looked at me and said ‘but it’s fat free’. I replied by saying that I do not eat candy that is full of chemicals and preservatives. She turned away and seemed so chocked that I would not eat candy that has no calories.

It is amazing how many people are clueless about what they ingest. Most people think that fats are bad for you and carbs are ok and do not make you fat. What most do not realize is that most fats are very good for you and are very important for your overall health. Most carbs excluding ‘complex carbs‘ are very bad for you and contribute to all sorts of health problems. Diabetes is caused by eating a lot of ‘simple carbs‘ like breads and sugars. It is preventable by eating only ‘complex carbs‘ like vegetables.

Fats do not make you fat as long as you eat a reasonable amount of fat per day. Eating ’simple carbs’ will cause you to become fat quickly. They are the major cause of obesity in the world today.

When you look at a product to eat, you should always check the ingredient list. Just because something is fat free or Trans fat free does not make it good for you. Most packaged products are loaded with chemicals and preservatives to extend the life of a product. If you find a product that you like that is trans fat free, you should read the ingredient list and make sure that there is no hydrogenated or partially-hydrogenated oils in it. These oils are actually trans fats that the manufacturers are allowed to include and not mention it on the label. FDA rules allows this as long as the amount of trans fat in a product is small per serving of the product.

Fat free products are the worst kind for your health. You should avoid them at all costs. You are better off buying a product that actually has fats in it than one that does not.

Sunscreen for Children at the Park

Sunscreen has been used for quite some time in most countries. It is mainly used to protect adults and especially children from the harmful effects of the sun. In most cases, sunscreen usage has gone to the extremes. A lot of people, especially women, use lotions that contain some kind of sun protection. Parents seem to be using a lot of sunscreen lotion on children that go outdoors especially when they go to the park.

During the past summer season, I have taken my 2 year old daughter several times a week to the park. She loves to play there. I do not use any sunscreen lotion on my daughter unless the visit at the park extends to several hours. I try my best to expose my daughter to as much sun as possible. Every time I go to the park with my daughter, I smell the sunscreen lotion on almost every child that passes by me. It is a shame that most parents are educated wrongly and told that the sun is very dangerous to them and their children. They are told that the sun causes cancer and that they should avoid it at all costs. It is surprising that the parents even allow their children to go outdoors.

The sun gives energy to every living thing on our planet. It is a life giving energy that is needed by all including human beings. We need the sun to survive on this world. Without the sun, no living thing can exist for long. The sun’s rays allows our body to produce Vitamin D which is essential for our well being. The health benefits of Vitamin D is huge.

Some of the benefits of Vitamin D include :

  • Greatly reduces the risk of all types of Cancer
  • Reduces the risk of Heart Attack and Stroke by as much as 60%
  • Prevents Rickets
  • Protects against Osteoporosis

So, I urge anyone that is reading this to go out and enjoy the outdoors. Try to expose as much skin to the sun’s rays as possible. You should also get your sun exposure during the noon hours between 10am to 2pm. The reason for this is that the UVB rays of the sun help your body produce vitamin D and are most able to reach your skin during those times. At other times, the UVB rays are much weaker while the harmful UVA rays can reach your skin at all times of the day.

Cancer, What is it?

What is cancer? Why does so many have cancer? In the old days, there was barely any reported case of cancer. What is it that made it very popular these days? Currently, it has become one of the worst killers of our time. What if I told you that it is easier to cure yourself from cancer than it is to cure yourself of the common cold. Cancer research has been going on for so long without any discovered cures. So, what is going on? Why has nobody discovered any cure for cancer? What if I told you that cures for cancer have already been known for centuries.

Every living thing on earth has cancer cells in their body. There will always be cells in the body that become cancerous. It is an ongoing battle that only ends when the body dies. It is a misconception by the medical community when they tell you that you are ‘cancer free’. There is no such thing as a body that is ‘cancer free’. It is part of who we are. It is the same as saying that no one is bacteria free.

When a cell in your body has no access to oxygen molecules, it has a chance of mutating to a cancerous cell. This is more evident in areas of the body that is damaged or full of toxins. These areas will have little oxygen passing through it that eventually more and more cells will change to a cancer cell. When you do not take proper care of your body, you will eventually accumulate a lot of toxins which will encourage more and more cells to become cancerous. This might lead to getting some kind of cancer in five to ten years.

To win the battle against cancer is as simple as reducing or even eliminating the toxins in your body. Once that is done, it is virtually impossible for you to have any form of cancer. There are so many companies that sell products that help your body remove the toxins. You can even do it yourself. Keeping your body healthy can protect you against cancer. If you already have cancer, then it is a simple matter of cleaning your body of toxins and taking vitamins, minerals and herbs that destroy cancer cells. Being spiritually happy will also greatly help in defeating the disease. If you remain depressed and unhappy with your life for long periods of time, then you are basically telling your body that you are not interested in this life and eventually your body will find a way to satisfy you by having cancer or another form of disease.

Using chemotherapy or other forms of toxic substances to cure you of cancer is wrong and will only increase the amount of toxins in your body which will eventually lead to more cancer. You cannot cure yourself by putting toxins in your body. You should be doing the opposite.

So, what is cancer? Cancer is a form of survival for the cells in your body. A cell is a living thing and will do anything to stay alive including its change to a cancer cell so it can survive a toxic environment. Cancer is part of us and we should not be afraid of it. Keep your body clean and healthy and you will never have to worry again.
